According to the original post: Multinational Air Group (MAGDAY’s) which are flown over the North Sea.

Probably not because that one is already started last monday.
Agree should be MAGDAY (20-3). According NATO "The German Air Force is the framework nation for the Multinational Air Group or MAG concept and conducts several MAGDAYs a year. The events typically consist of two rehearsal days and two live-fly days."

Last year four events were held. This year the first one at Jagel with CZ and HU Gripen. Second one in June with RAF Typhoons, Swiss F-18s and Dutch and USAFE F-16s. So next one will be MAGDAY 20-3 in August.

Most likely planned memorial overflights of IDF/AF with Luftwaffe in Munich area will be in arrival week, leaving 24/25 (rehearsal) and 26/27 (live) participation in exercise. 'MAGDAY' was mentioned in one of the quoted articles earlier this week. Can not find MAGDAY announcements on NATO or Luftwaffe site.

August 26 was the start of the olympics in 1972. Sept 4th is when the terrorist attacks started and on the 5th they ended in a tragedy. I'm not sure if the Israeli's are really sentimental towards any of those specific dates, but I just wanted to throw in a suggestion (as that is what this above mostly is) they may use one of these dates for the flyover. As towards the Dachau memorial, I cannot find any specific historic relevant date that would fit into their schedule. It may well be it is the same flight overflying Munich (as Dachau is just to the North).

Just my 2cts

New article in hebrew on the IAF website, the IAF commander speach during a meeting with the families of the 1972 Olympic games victims.
Some of his words "The State of Germany is a strategic partner of the State of Israel and also the contact with the German Air Force", then he pointed 122Sq leader (G500/550 Nachshon) and said they'll be part of the salut flight (over Dachau, Munich and Fürstenfeldbruck Air Base)

So, count in the IAF's AEW&C/SIGINT birds

With reference to the date of 17-8 mentioned here before: please note the statement in the original posts (English article in Stefan’s post)
“Israeli fighter pilots will make history in September, when they are scheduled to conduct joint military exercises....”

With an official statement and sightings of transport aircraft, I think it's pretty safe to remove the word "rumour" from the topic title now.

Apparently they put some requests with the local police, to close the area off. No idea if they will do that, but that’s what’s being discussed at least

Could of course also be with regard to covid-19 measures. Let's just hope some sensible solution will be found.
