Those 0X environmentalist groups are a real danger to the future of aviation.

I hope none of them shows up at Geilenkirchen. Because if they do, I'll be the first one to :o|o: :o|o: :o|o:  them.

Rico,

Look @ the first page of this topic (posted some pics from two years ago).

Do not know if they will have a different layout of the static this year. Personally I hope they will put the birds in one line behind a small “dranghek” (fence).
But that will be wishful thinking, probably like always the plane-huggers have a chance to touch the birds

Due to the amount of participating airplanes, most logical due to space on the platform, will be one line of all aircraft.

Guys,

Got some (inside) information:

Also invited are (not confirmed): German P-3c, Canadian CP-140 and Italian AMX. From Denmark and The Netherlands there are no participants confirmed / known (yet).

As known at this moment the aircraft procedure:

Fly In: Friday 15 June 0800 – 1500L
Sequence: E-3a type Aircraft 0800 – 1000L (I think they mean all type of AWAC craft, but not sure).
Fighters 1000 – 1400L
Turbo-Prop 1400-1500L

Fly Out: Monday 18 June starting 1300L

If I’m not completely correct, please don’t shoot the messenger.
:)

Are the AWACS flying their normal operation flights during the open days?
Because I guess they are flying every day. Please correct me if I'm wrong. And if yes are they flying from their homebase or maybe from another base due to the activities on those days?

I think I can remember that there where cars parked on the runway during the last open day some years ago.... but I am not completely sure about that.

Offcourse that means no flying aircraft

airshow Geilenkirchen

Post by tiger »

Can anybody tell me if there will be a possibility to make pictures of the arriving aircraft on Friday and the departing on monday outside the base, for example near the fence. Or will the MP send all of us away just like at Leeuwarden last year??
