Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions

Post by Lex »

In the TLP 2009-1 overview are the 2 Portugese C-130's that were at Brussel 13-01-2009 as transport for this TLP.
Are there any further Portugese aircraft expected this TLP??

Greetings

as for the overview, assume (hope) SP stands for Poland ?? (F-16C external assets)
Does external assets mean they won't operate from EBFS ??

Re: TLP spottersday 2009

Post by IrishAirPics »

Hi Guys,

I was looking through the Scramble Air Show calendar a few minutes ago and noticed that in addition to the TLP Press Day on May 19th and a Spotters Day on May 20th, there will be an Open House on May 21st. Can anyone tell me if there will be flying during the Open House or what is planned for this event? There is nothing about this on the TLP website.

Will Florennes really allow groups of people on base 3 days in a row during a TLP session?

Regards,

Frank.

Hi Polleke,

The Polish Vipers are planned for the third and fourth week of the TLP. Expect arrival at Florennes should be Fri 23 Jan. or Mon 26 Jan.

Just wait and see, because the last two editions a lot of no scheduled others planes took part in TLP instead of scheduled units/aircraft.

Maurits

I don't want to spoil your hope for Polish Vipers at the TLP, but I think SP stands for Spangdahlem...

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I hope I am, in this case. :D

Michel

I am quite sure that Piet would have stated the Vipers from USAFE / 52 Wing in that case. Next to that, when the schedules came out late last year it was told that SP stood for Polish AF.
And I think it makes a lot sense that the Polish AF takes part in this exercise.

Hello!
Not sure what "SP" stand for, but this could be an abbreviation for "Siły Powietrzne [RP]" meaning "[Polish] Air Force".
As our Vipers arrival is concerned they, in the number of 3, are to come from EPKS to Belgium today (16 Jan 2009), as participants of TLP 2009-01. [Also take a look at EPKS 2009 thread.] Unfortunatedly, as for now, I don't know their ETA... :(

BTW. Any information on their participation in TLP would be of great value for me ;)
