6 Guess who was thinking something regarding the meaning of live a few seconds before this shot

Image

7 This is not a 'bird on a wire' shot, it is a 'swallow on a chain' shot

I just love this Gannet shot!
I used to go wreckfishing on the Northsea, some 30 NM out off the coast above the islands.
One day we spotted a Gannet with some nylon fishingnet around its beak and was unable to feed himself, this upset us all on the ship until someone, standing next to me, had him in is fishing line.
I took over his rod and somehow got the bird out of the sea.
When I cut of the piece of fishingnet everybody on the boat cheered and applauded!
First thing the Gannet did was give me a bite with his now free beak, saying thank you I guess, LOL.
Was great when I released him or her and someone on the boat feeded the big bird, who was doomed to die, with a small fish!
Those birds are really huge, we saw them fishing all the time, but having one in your arms with this result was a great experience for me.

It was one of the most remarkable fishing days at sea ever!

Sorry for going off topic!

To design a flying machine is nothing. To build one is something. But to fly is everything.
