i requested for the permit few months ago by e-mail attaching jpeg-copy of my passport. Received the permit in hardcopy few days later.

You have to make a request in writing or as you see above by mail. More information on Paris spotting can be found on http://www.kerozen.fr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They were also the people who negotiated with the airport authorities and police on spotting at Paris.

By the way, don't forget to visit Le Bourget. Stayed here for a while without being checked at all. If you are travelling by public transport take bus 350 from Roissypole and get out at the Musee de l'Air.

And if you need cheap accomodation check the Formule 1 website. The Formule 1 hotel at Roissy costs 31 euro a night and they even have a shuttle bus from/to the airport Bus 350 also stops near the hotel.

Looks like it's all about sky-diving, I'm not ready for that.

Made a last minute decision to visit Charles de Gaulle for what probably will be my last spotting trip of 2007. Arrived at the mound around 09:45 and left there around 16:45. No visit from the police or military at all, even though I saw them driving past several times that day. It must have been clear that I was photographing, as it is nearly impossible to hide my "Bigma" however, I didn't have any problems at all......

Some particularly interseting aircraft were seen, including the blue Malaysian I was silently hoping for, and China Easterns "Shanghai Expo" A340. Main goal of the day were the recently delivered EMBRAER 190s of Air France Regional and ex-Northwest RJ-85s of Cityjet. Four of the former, but only five of the latter were seen, but still this day can be considered as succesful, with 82 new aircraft entering the book....

On with the log, which is by no means complete. Only more recently delivered local aircraft are included by the way.

From Kerozen: Alert on holes in airport fences at CDG

Post by Vinz »

Hoi

Van de Franse Kerozen mailinglist geplukt:

Hello,

recently french authorities have informed us that there are a lot of new holes in the airport fences at CDG. I copy the internal mail of the KeroZen association for our members. I invite you to transmit it to all spotters. Because this time there is a important change : if this bad way of spotting continues, they will apply against us some measures that restrict our hobby.

Stephane.

Internal letter n°22 :

These past few weeks, the sous-préfecture of Seine Saint Denis has informed us that some airport fences have been damaged. These holes are used by spotters to allow them to take pictures through in the restricted area. French authorities are very unpleased by such bad comportment. They have said to us that if these acts don't stop, they have to limit our hobby.

By the past, I did some information, to our members, but also to all spotters via forum or dedicated mailing lists. We can't accept such comportment. Consequences can be important, and no one wants to know how authorities can limit aircraft spotting at CDG.

I can't imagine a KeroZen member doing such holes. So, I ask you to tell to your friends or other spotters that making holes in airport fences is not the right way of spotting. Only bad consequences can occur.

Our behavior around french airports fences is very important, especially at CDG, if we want to continue aircraft spotting.
