Map seems to indicate it's not a problem; lights and exitmarkings will probably seem very superfluous to Russian Antonov crews anyway... :lol:

About 2 years ago I noted a MD-80 landing on runway 06 which had to go to the S-apron.
It landed very short and also took the S2 exit to the S-apron...so if it is possible form the 06 side why not from the 24 side... :shock:

Yup. S2 has been designed as a runway exit to the north, for both 06 and 24, and as a crossing to/from the S apron. Nevertheless, 747s and even MD-11s (very long wheel base) have vacated 06/24 to the S apron without damaging anything. The map Robert refers to is a schematic only, not too usefull in this case I'm afraid. A much better, official map is here, a pfd on the wonderful AIS site.

I remember some colleagues and me applauding a China Airlines Cargo crew for being the first to have a 747 vacate 06 at S2 to the right, after landing. 8)

Seen it happen more often like this, also with Martinair MD11's... even saw a 747 (don't know which airline) who barely made the turn with smoking nose wheel tires ;)
