Ik dacht dat McHanus (2e links) er toch echt mee gestopt was zo'n twee jaar terug....maar ach, onkruid vergaat echt niet hè?1 ;-)

Hi all,

Here are three photos made from the tower. Not the best quality, but a nice moment to remember.

Colin I like the overview on the flightline. Do you have any more overview pics which cover the airbase? Like to see to some good pics of the runway and taxiways as well

Thanks for the positive comments! Overview of the flightline was taken from the PH-RPR police Bolkow. Couldn't take any more decent pictures because that thing likes to shake a lot and the circuits were pretty tight :P. Will see if I have some more views from the air tonight

I only got pics from inside Soesterberg Tower, but it doesn't bother me at all! It was really great to be there when most of the visitors were arriving that day, including DEADLY!

"...Soesterberg Tower, DEADLY is four mile initial runway 27 for two..."

@Kiwi: I like your pic from the flightline!

Found two more from up high that I found worthy of this topic:

1. A place where a lot of us have spent many hours and have seen some great aircraft (my first spotting experience with the 21st SOS MH-53M for example!)
Image

2. A wider overview of the flightline and the operational side of Soesterberg AB

I like your pics, Kiwi!

Lucky you, to fly with a chopper out of Soesterberg AB!
To be honest: it's my last wish for EHSB at this moment > a take off and landing at Soesterberg AB. :D

my humble selection of this memorial day. I would like the Vermaas family for their hospitality @ the tower plus Paul and Dick for arranging our access.
