The Air Force had advertised two or three Leeuwarden events ago it should be 45 minutes walking (for if people didn't want to wait for their turn to be transported). At the main showdays there are always shuttle busses running from one or two railwaystations to the airforcedays, whereever they are held (for Leeuwarden only from Leeuwarden itself though). Unfortunately nowadays at Leeuwarden they don't drop you off direct at the gate anymore but you have to go for a short walk (few minutes) over a specially laid down temporary road.

Looks like the RNLAF is doing it"s best despite defence cuts to organize a great show!I hope the wheather will be better in September,I remember last year in the rain Thumps up for the organisers !
I look at the official KLu Open Dagen site, and must say that participation for the show is very poor.... No idea why, but with the list published right now, it should be a very sad Airshow

Never look only at the official list on the website, they are always slow with updating and more then 50% is still missing
The airpower demo seems to be interesting with an paradrop of dutch marines, in combination with troops from Chinooks and attacks by Apaches and F-16's.
Still, I would love to see and old fashioned base attack were loads of fighters come in from all directions very fast and very low. These days an air attack is more selective pin-pointing, wereas in the cold war it was more "omploegen".
