Things have changed a little bit since then, I guess; wouldn't have tried this in those days...

My wife always tell me to wear the camera belt. I obey, but I'm just married for a year.
Looking at these pictures, one thing comes to mind... Spotters ain't beauties....Or maybe their outfit doesn't do them well.

So that you can hang it around your neck for safety reasons. Your camera can't possibly drop that way. That is, if you actually hang it around your neck  .
But I admit, I wouldn't like it to hang big lenses like some of yours around my neck...

A minute after we stopped to have a look at Kaklic from this hill, they showed up. Instead of sending us away, they took us to a better spot... and borrowed our bino's to have a look themselves...

Oh, and Roel, that stinkin toilet, was that before or after you entered?

I can give you guys a explanation about the straps.
When you got it around your neck for a day you will die, its that simple, the weight of these camera's and lenses is just to much.
But sometimes you need both of your hands to do something and then a strap I really convenient so you don't have to put your camera down.
I have shot a few days with no strap and only then it hits you how much you use it while you don't use it... :P
