Guess this was no TuAF as they don't participate at all; more likely is the Algerian / USAF?
Adios, Hurricane
This must be the Algerian C-130. mispole....

Has anyone noted the Merlin which was standing all saturday on the tarmac on the north side, close to the NATO B707. This one didn't fly that day.

Hi,
About the FAA Merlin's on saterday, sure is:
ZH861/84 solo display
ZH861/84 and ZH834/86 FAA 100 years flight
3 didb't fly:
ZH847/13 was pulled in the large hangar.
Leaving ZH839/83 and ZH842/CU-88 as non flyers or pulled, my guese/work out:
The one behind the NATO CT-49A had as far as I could see no CU on the tail and it was their al the time. This would make it the 83. I saw a Merlin right of this one after the 100 years display and after the 13 was pulled in the hanger, was this one their also all the time, couldn't distinguish if their was CU on the tail boom.
Anyone?
Pieter

Well, ZH842 was also inside a hangar and was only pulled out of it after 18:30h, so that will leave ZH839/83 on the platform (since I also noticed no code on the tail).
Also pulled out of a hangar after 18:30h was Harrier ZD461/51A.

I have been to the other side of the runway twice 06.30 and 16.30 on Saturday.
Both missing Merlins were NOT outside ! I am sure ZH839 was not outside on saturday (at least not before 16.30).

well, there was one standing there all day, and it was not the 842, 861 or 834. So must be 839 or 847. So anyone who could confirm which passive Merlin was on the tarmac?

I think the visible Merlin from the static side was the 847. This one did not fly the whole day, but was towed inside a hangar around 15.30. On 16.30 I visited the other side of the base (ON base) and there were only TWO Merlins outside 834 and 861.
