A few more detailed reports from BKK to follow, again focusing on the regional visitors, i.e. the movements unfamiliar to European skies. First, an update as to any recent or expected service changes.
Thai Airways have finally found suitable seats for the A330’s that were stored at Bordeaux on delivery, and all are now in regular scheduled service. These will be replacing some A300, with HS-TAK / L and N not currently in service, so may well be WFU. Thai have also announced the early return of one of their leased 77F and as they are planning to convert 2 744 to freighters soon, I doubt the other 77F will have its 2 year lease renewed.
Tiger Airways Singapore have increased there service to 4 daily, and for now at least they seem unaffected by the current grounding of Tiger Australia.
Garuda have introduced a 2nd daily flight, flight times dictate that we must receive 2 different aircraft each day.
Malaysian now send 2 738 and 2 734 every day, previously 738 were irregular visitors.
Jeju Air have started a second service several days per week from Busan in addition to the daily flight from Incheon, both flights arrive near midnight.
Korean Air keep delaying the introduction of daily A380 on KE651 which arrives at 21.10, latest update shows it from 20th July. Additionally their timetable shows A332 being used twice weekly from the same time.
Indigo have announced service to BKK. One flight is due to begin in early September and another flight to begin early October. Both flights are due to arrive around midday.
August should see introduction of Hainan airlines 763 or A330 operating 4 times a week from PEK and onto CMB, arrival is set for 18.45. Also from August they should be starting a twice weekly service from Chongqing arriving at 13.35. This is in addition to the current twice weekly arrival from Nanning at 15.10 and 3 times weekly from Hangzhou (01.50).
China Eastern 77F seem to have been replaced by subsidiary Shanghai Airlines MD-11F, hopefully this is temporary! Additionally Shanghai Airlines had suspended second daily 00.30 service, but this is gradually being restored. Daily 12.30 arrival is unaffected.
The latest Russian airline to start up flights is I Fly with 757’s. Summer fights continue with Aeroflot 763, Transaero 763 and 744 and Nordwind 752 and 763. Winter should see all the above ramp up flights again and the probable return of Orenburg 738 and UT Air 752 and maybe others.
