Changi East AB has now been merged with the main airport, the road between the 2 bases closed and re-routed. Taxyways now link the former 2 bases, and a new civil terminal has been/is being built on former Changi east land.

The F-16s still operate from there as well though yes? Will they use the same runway as the airliner traffic?

The fast jets should operate from runway 02R/20L- the runway to the east on the reclaimed land. The transports should operate from the origional Changi AB site in the north west corner, and will probably mainly operate from runway 02L/20R. This area was visible from airside in T1 when I was last there in 2017. The road where it was possible to read off most of this ramp was closed to the public back in around 2004.

The future?. Singapore being Singapore this could all change if/when Paya Lebar finally closes in 2030. Some sort of massive re-building programme cannot be ruled out.

The location indicator for Changi East AB (WSAC) is still in use for the east site, which is what the MMF A330s filed into Darwin as.
