recently I visited India and saw a Hawker Hunter on display at the Jaisalmer War Museum.
It is wearing fake (?) serial "J1012".
Does anyone know its true identity?
Could this possibly be A1012, BA237 or BA357?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the very useful link!
Wow, that gives a very interesting twist to this puzzle.ehusmann wrote: ↑16 Nov 2022, 17:22 The A1012 is in Delhi and the BA357 is in Dehradun. So it is pretty sure it is non of the three you mentioned. But for me it is even a little bit more of a puzzle. All resources I have speak of around 250 Hunters having been in service in India, of the F56, F56A and T66 variants. Registration series of BA201 to BA360, A459 to A1015 and (B)S361 to (B)S1393 (all non continuously). However, this is said to be an F6 and there is another F6 in Shillong with fake serial BA251. I have absolutely no info of F6s having been delivered to India. So it might not even be a true Indian Air Force frame, but a RAF example that was delivered for spares use. Like several French Jaguars that have popped up in India recently for preservation.
