They had one earlier this year as well. Probably only local flying (but could still be worth it)

Re: Istrana AB Open House 51 Stormo 7th Sept
Some additions/corrections to the above report, which I see has been edited whilst I was typing this:
UH-90A E.I.248 (MM81565) was operating from the eastern dispersal, callsign IEI1557
51-20 MM7320 & 51-95 MM7295 were the morning Typhoons
51-33 MM(71)62 was the morning AMX
51-39 MM7339 (used his drag chute on landing, photo available ) & 51-98 MM7298 (flown by the CO, formerly 51-01) were the 2nd pair
The Frecce MB339PAN was coded 8 someone can probably id it from the special tail (10 Squadriglia Caproni)
I am reliably informed F-35A 32-14 performed early on.
[I didn't see it but I think you mean MM7356 for the late Typhoon, Mr Shamu]
61-135 (MM55069) departed after the show as "Verde55"
An early morning visitor was FA-50 MM62026
Preserved AMX 51-43 is MM7178
The HH139 was coded 15-50 which unfortunately makes it MM81522 (seen at TLP/Albacete in 2019)
The F-104 51-07 in the static is incorrectly marked MM6804
The 6 Stormo F-35 MM7367 is actually coded 6-02
Nearly forgot, star of the show, I-GATO DH-82A (Aaah, de Havilland) formerly R.A.F. DE193
MM7319 in the hangar is of course 51-04 (for now)
At the SP68 road junction (NE corner) AMX MM7144 (51-03) covered with netting
The "8th" AMX in the 1st group should be MM7126*
2nd group: 7114, 7128*, 7167, 7170, 7186, 7169, 7184, 55049, 7196, 7191, 7198 (51-44), 7149, 55051, 7192 (51-70), 55037 & 7183
(* require confirmation [7128 should've been cut up])
3rd group (there may have been others) 7182, 7189, 7177

Re: Istrana AB Open House 51 Stormo 7th Sept
Many thanks for your comprehensive report, chaps. A few comments.
The 8th AMX in the group which could be seen from base was MM7196 (photo).
Codes noted were:
MM7185 / 51-36
MM7175 / 51-45
MM7176 / 51-47
MM7190 / 51-57
The flying display was actually opened by a couple of 510FS F-16s: 89-029AV and 89-046AV
F-35 32-14 is, of course, an F-35B as well demonstrated by its appearance in (vertical) takeoff
And for completeness' sake;
I-ZANA Caproni Ca-3 replica (not my cup of tea, but actually, quite impressive to see in flight..)
I-JONA Spad SXIII replica.

And there were also two Tornados in the afternoon overshooting the field: MM7062 & MM7029.

Re: Istrana AB Open House 51 Stormo 7th Sept
MM81822 & F-35B of course
Our initial thought on the 2nd a/c from the line of 16 was (MM71)26 which was not between 7114 & 7167 (sorry, can't be bothered to put brackets round all the MM71s) at the March event. However, 7196 was between 55049 & 7191 in March. I don't doubt your photo but this was read off again in the long line last week.
Missing from the "line of 8" from March is "behind" 7172, the one I can't read from my photo - when viewed from the motorcycle display area - no doubt the moderators will delete but if you're quick .....
AMX store right-hand-end by Mr Starman
(ignore my previous comment re 7189, this was noted in "western/3rd group" area with 7177 & 7182)

Sorry Dave, alas I can't read the one barely visible behind 7172.
Re: Istrana AB Open House 51 Stormo 7th Sept
Indeed, that's the 8th one, can you post your picture of 7196?
