You're right Ruud. After take-off of the first A-Jet we got the message that Conningsby couldn't accept them. The instructor in the second A-Jet wanted to take his chances anyway, but both were eventually diverted to EGYM Marham
The third A-Jet had some problems and went back to LFOT Tours for an aircraft change.
I was too busy with the Marchetti's to text message you again

ST-01 - ST-36 SF.260M
ST-40 - ST-48 SF.260D
Question: what makes a SF.260M into a SF.260M+
I know when the wings run out of life time hours, they get changed by E model wings.
But what are the other modifications, do you know ?
ciao,
Hendrik

All mike's are getting an avionics upgrade and a new dashboard. Upgrade includes a new radio communication set combined with the Garmin GNC 300XL GPS, and a new engine data management system.vanderveen wrote:Question: what makes a SF.260M into a SF.260M+
From the outside, you can recognise a "mike plus" by the white GPS receiver on the nose just in front of the canopy, and a new probe for the OAT (right-hand side, just before the canopy). Also, the upgraded marchetti's get a little "+" behind their number on the rudder.

luchtmachterkse,
thanks for the update on the Mike+.
I did find some other information on the web elsewhere.
Looks like these Belgian SF.260s are good to go for another 10-20 years after these modifcations.
