Rob were you on base? Did you read the preserved F-16 near the tower, like "Stafhunter" mentioned.
This was indeed a typo...sorry... and thanks for the heads up.
No, didn't see the preserved F-16.

Saw the same F-16 close to the Mirage 5 on display! Anybody an idea off the serial?

(notes: although I had already experienced three successful flying days during this TLP flying course, I went to Florennes a fourth time, in order to experience departures of the rather exotic participants and their spare aircraft plus quite a lot of supporting transport aircraft expected that day. Indeed, when arriving at the Belgian airbase, no less than four Turkish C-160s were found parked on the parallel runway and all departed in the course of the morning. Also very welcome were the two Italian transports featuring a brand-new C-27 and two Czech An-26s.
Luckily, all participating TLP aicraft departed during the morning without problems. Highlights amongst these were the three-ships of Turkish F-4s and F-16s, plus Czech L-159s and JAS 39s and the four-ship of Spanish F-18s. My personal award for the best take-off ever goes to the two Rafales which took off after a very short take-off run, banked hard left, overflew the TLP ramp very low and then ascended to operational flying level with full AB. Two Mirage 2000s followed in style with a dual flypast also using AB.
A very nice finale of one of the most interesting TLP flying courses ever!)

GEILENKIRCHEN FRIDAY 2008-06-13 RW27
Weather: scattered/broken clouds, long sunny spells, light wind

Based aircraft (NATO Airborne Early Warning Force):
E-3A NAEWF 90456 L16:44
E-3A NAEWF 90459 L17:40

E-3A NAEWF 90454 T18:43
E-3A NAEWF 90442 T20:53

B.707TCA NAEWF 20199 T19:54

(notes: as flying activity had Florennes had ended surprisingly early and there was nothing left to wait for, I used the chance and made the short deviation to Geilenkirchen on my way back home to the beautyful Southern Niederrhein. Luckily, some flying activity was still taking place there until evening, probably in connection with the European Soccer Championship. Thus, will spending some hours at the Terverner Heide tidying up and cleaning my car, no less than five nice movements were recorded!)

That dual from the Belgian,s the FB-08 as far as i know it was stored for sometime at Weelde.
Is it one of the F-16,s destined for the Jordanian airforce ?.
It was freshly painted and it looked like some sort of testflight.
Dont know the number,s of the F-16,s for the Jordan Airforce.
So if somebody !?.

Okay, did not want to be rude... just trying to correct you, but I see I'm wrong. I'm sorry for that, excuse me...

... Asking my self now if we will continue to post Florennes logs in this TLP-forum, even if the TLP has moved to Spain...
