Avro Vulcan topic
Now the Vulcan to the Sky organisation managed to get the necessary funding and is preparing XH558 for this year Airshow season I found it appropriate to start a Vulcan photo topic. I encourage everybody to add their best Vulcan (not necessary XH558) photo ever. Below you see my photo from the Dutch Airforce Airshow at Volkel Airbase in June 2009.
As advised I re-sized this picture.

Once a nice though unintended visitor to Brasil, this Falkland veteran now resides at the excellent museum in East Fortune, Scotland

This Vulcan XL319 is located at the North East Aircraft Museum in the UK (near Sunderland).
The two persons on this picture were students from a local technical school who were working on the Vulcan during the weekends.
A cockpit visit was possible and all people of this museum were very friendly. Me and my family even had a private tour of the museum.

I sure hope some of you who are able to see this aircraft are also making some quality sound recordings of it. It's been a long time for me between Vulcan sitings, but if I remember correctly, the big bird sounds wonderful. Here's a fairly old shot from a base that has now been closed a long time.
