Hello everybody!
my trip trough memory-lane is continuing, and I've finished scanning my pictures of 1997. I'm now in the process of editing them, which is also quite a task. Here are some of the more, in my opinion, more interesting pictures.
1. Kalitta/American International purchased some L1011's and had them converted to freighters. N104CK is clearly an ex BA-plane:
2. Also nice that day was this polar-colored Aeroflot AN-12:
3. Based at Amsterdam was LARMAG's B727:
4. Nice charterflight from Geneva was this TEA Switzerland B737-300:
5. Cathay still had this retro scheme:
6. Icelandair was still operating B737-400's and had a other colorscheme:
7. DAS Air Cargo was also a regular airline:
8. As were Thai with the MD-11:
9. Balkan was the national airline of Bulgaria and was still flying the TU-154:
10. Garuda was also flying different equipment to Schiphol in the form of the MD-11:
11. Crossair was still around:
12. Regional from France used this ATR-42, still in the colors of it's previous operator, Mahalo:
13. Another regular from Switzerland:
14. South African Cargo was also just a normal visitor:
15. As were the DC-8's of Affretair:
16. TMA nowadays has a nice colorscheme, but I do prefer those green B707's:
17. Air 2000 flew a charter with this white B757:
18. EVA Air operated their scheduled flights with the MD-11:
19. Royal was a Canadian charter-airline, operating summer flights to Schiphol with those great TriStars:
20. In May Bill Clinton visited The Netherlands, which resulted in a lot of choppers at East, like this UH-60 of the US Army:
21. And those great VH-3's of HMX-1:
22.:
23. ORBI also flew with TU-134's:
24. Transavia leased this B737-400 for the summer:
25. KLM used Southern Air Transport Hercules transporters for their cargo-flights:
26. The DDA brought in another DC-4, to be used for spares. The plane is now at the Aviodrome:
27. What a sight; two beauties at East:
28. Nice surprise to find this C-130 from the Swedish Air Force:
29. As this L-410 from Tory:
30. June was time to go abroad, starting at the Paris Air Show. Which was ==censored== for photography due to the weather and tight parking of the planes. But I managed to make some pictures, like this Airbus A340 from Airbus:
31. A nicely colored An-2:
32. And this great looking An-74:
33. One of my personal highlights was this IL-96F from Aeroflot:
34. As was this CN-235MPA from the Indonesian Air Force:
35. And my last picture for this first part of 1997 is this special colored DHC-8 from Tyrolean:
Hope you liked them. See you in part 2!
Cheers!
