Re: Snapshots from the garden
Well new country new garden, this one is nice and close to Waterkloof AFB
Saturday (12/Feb/11) South African Airways' showed up with thier new toy ZS-SXZ A330-200 training for more than an hour at Waterkloof. Should make it first commercial flight today btw.
The day before based SAAF Falcon 900, ZS-NAN was doing touch 'n' go's

Re: Snapshots from the garden
Thanks Erik. Most admit I like South Africa!! As in Bolivia many quality aircraft (actually even more here) and besides that all the regular European/Asian stuff.
New house is just a couple of km from Waterkloof AFB, there is a ridge in between though so don't see everything if they are coming in from the wrong direction. But love the terrace, on good days a lot of Jo'burg traffic will come straight over at anything between 4-9000ft AGL.
The inbound IL76s are actually not very noisy and the ridge takes most of the take-off sound (unfortunately according to me, luckily according to my wife). B737-200s thundering out of JNB heading north come over at 6-7000ft, they can be heard
Regards, Michael

Hi,
Below you find the B-18208 from China Airlines straight above my house bound for SPL.
The Qatar A300 A7-AFB
I think it's nice to see this.
Cathay 744 versus SAS B738.
Grt,
Michel
