Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: LDZA 05-03-2012
Nice! I'd upgrade it to catch of the month, or first quarter of 2012... Can't remember the last flying DC-8 I saw, must have been a while back. Thanks for sharing!

Re: LDZA 05-03-2012
Nice DC8, but it would also be nice if you had a look at the forum rules which are in every screen in the aviation photos;
More specific, I have no clue what LDZA means and with a username of Mikoyan I would not directly expect a civilian plane.
Kind regards
EC

Piet
I can google as good as the next guy, besides his signature also says Zagreb.
the point is we should not have to guess
From a scramble editor I would expect some more respect for the forum rules.

Re: LDZA 05-03-2012
The forum rules are quite clear regarding airport names and ICAO codes.
So next time put the full name of an airport in the topic tittle instead of only the ICAO code.

.... and it would even have been better if he had put "CIV" in the subject title, so I would not have bothered to look at this.

I fully agree people should follow the rules, but there are friendly ways too to point that out.
Nice plane nonetheless!!

Re: Zagreb / LDZA 05-03-2012
Come on people. The time spent on complaining about this, is taking 20 times longer than finding out it's not a military plane (well, depending on the speed of your internet connection ).
Quit crying and simply enjoy this stunning old bird.
Thanks for posting Goran!

Goran, thanks for sharing this DC-8 shot.
Formally the people are right about the title, but it would have been nice if they show some respect and just ask you friendly to change the subeject title into: "CIV: Zagreb / LDZA 05-03-2012". Personally I'm just happy that you (and other non-Dutch photographers) show their work here. Please keep them coming, especially the MIL-stuf...
All the best from a happy forum user.

Agree on that. Was a little bit too fast with my reaction, could have say it in a more friendly waymarcel32us wrote:I fully agree people should follow the rules, but there are friendly ways too to point that out.
