NEWS - Winter Schedule 2012 - 2013

Airlines are starting to release their final Winter Schedules 2012/2013, which include more changes for AMS:

- BA:
- Maintains 8x daily to LHR in winter = +1x

- KLM:
- New 4x daily to VCE in winter = plus 1x
- New 6x daily to FRA in winter = plus 1x
- New 5x daily to BLL in winter = plus 1x
- New 4x daily to TLS in winter = plus 1x

- Lufthansa:
- New 4x daily to HAM in winter = plus 1x

- SAS:
- New 5x daily to CPH in winter = plus 1x

- Turkish:
- New 4x daily to IST in winter = plus 1x
- New 3x/week to ESB in winter

United has released its latest Winter schedule 2012/2013 for AMS:

- IAH will change from B767-400 to B767-200 daily. (KLM daily)
- EWR will be B757 daily (Delta 5x/week)
- IAD will be B757 6x/week (KLM daily)
- ORD will be B767-300 daily to Xmas and 5x/week in the very low Jan & Febr. period. (KLM 5x/week)

United has released its latest Winter schedule 2012/2013 for AMS:

- IAH will change from B767-400 to B767-200 daily.

AFAIK the 767-200 will operate November - December but the 767-400 will return in January. Or is the GDS not updated with the latest changes yet?

China Southern will receive its 1st B787 in August 2012. The aircraft will be operated on Chinese domestic routes initially, but it is quite likely that the B787 replaces the A330-200 to Europe in the near term. CZ has developed a special livery for the B787 which will be painted on 9 of the 10 aircraft ordered.

What's wrong with their current livery? United Airlines has also adopted a different colour scheme for their 787's. Call me conservative, but I'm not in favour of these changes.

Rossiya is apparently suspending or ending service to AMS. Reservations are no longer possible for the winter season, as well as summer 2013. Amadeus is however showing their regular schedules for summer 2013, but with no availability.

Cathay Pacific will operate daily A340-300 service on HKG-AMS from the start of the winter 2012-2013 season, iso a mix of A343/B744. The 747 will return in summer 2013 3x weekly.

Due to the new deal with touroperator Neckermann, Air Europa will upgrade all flights between Amsterdam and Madrid from E195 to B737-800 equipment from november onwards.

Passengers from Neckermann will use Air Europa flights ex Madrid to Cancun (CUN) and Punta Cana (PUJ), instead of the AF/KL flights via CDG and ATL.

Ben benieuwd of die B737-800s nog gaan komen nu dat Neckermann op sterven na dood is.

Neckerman Reizen en het postorderbedrijf zijn twee verschillende bedrijven. Neckermann Reizen Nederland maakt deel uit van Thomas Cook en is dus niet in gevaar.

Airlineroute confirms Rossiya will cease AMS from 27OCT2012 onwards.
