Re: Orders Thread 2013
I believe that is still speculation, because as far as I know, the order will only be announced at 11 today. At least the 34 B777-9X number is most likely not for a firm order, but includes options.

Article in Dutch, but conforms the speculation

Re: Orders Thread 2013
Couple of Airbus orders that were not mentioned yet (A320neo orders becoming rather boring I assume....).
VietJet signed an MOU for up to 100 A320 family aircraft. The press release mentiones a breakdown of 42 A320neo, 14 A320ceo, 6 A321ceo and purchase rights for a bunch more.
Singapore based leasing company BOC Aviation orders 25 A320 family aircraft, including 12 A320neo and 13 A320ceo. More info: press release.
A new Chinese airline called Qingdao Airlines also jumps on the A320 wagon by ordering 23 A320s, or which 5 are ceo and 18 are neo. The deal is still subject to government approval according to the press release.
The last (and in fact least) order comes from another new Chinese airline. Zhejiang Airlines also wants to start with the best selling A320, by signing an MOU for 20 A320, of which 11 are ceo and 9 neo. Press release
Erwin
Edit:
Whoops, forgot another one: Delta also gets more Airbus planes in the fleet. They ordered 30 A321ceo and 10 A330-300 back in August already. Press release on the Airbus site.

Re: Orders Thread 2013
76-er is quite right, also Boeing had some more orders lately.
Westjet for example, finalized an order for 65 B737, consisting of 40 MAX 8s and 25 MAX 7s. press release
Xiamen Airlines also finalized an order, in their case for 6 B787-8s. This order was originally announced in 2011 already (sorry, didn't go back to check that). press release
And the most important (...): ANA has decided to get yet more B777-300ERs by ordering 3. press release

Re: Orders Thread 2013
And here is a big upset! Airbus has finally managed to break into the big Japanese airlines. Japan Airlines has ordered the A350! A purchase agreement has been signed for 18 A350-900s and 13 A350-1000s (with 25 more options). First ever Airbus order by JAL (which did operate the A300, but those came into the fleet through a merger).

Korean Air has finalised an order for 12 Boeing aircraft, including five 747-8s, six 777-300ERs and one 787, according to a Boeing media release.
The deal has a value of $3.9 billion at list prices, says Boeing.
Korean Air made a commitment for the 747s and 777s at the Paris air show in June.
With the order, Korean Air now has orders for 10 747-8s, 10 777-300ERs and 11 787s.
