Good spot? Yes.
Legal? No. At least not officially, as it is inside the Haarlemmermeer. I doubt you will get into any kind of trouble there as it seems Police and KMar mostly patrol the direct surroundings of the airport. However, the emergency law is in place there, so they may use it against you. If you stand on the other side of the Ringvaart you will be fine (which is basically the spot I mentioned).

- non-photographing spotters left alone at all locations as long as no traffic disturbed etc.
- photogs allowed to be active even in Haarlemmermeer, provided at some distance from the airport (varying)
- authorities still rather relaxed, special rules not enforced without clear reasons
I guess the situation was more or less the same on Sunday (at least from my personal experience).

Jeroen Bos wrote:Regarding the Lijnderdijk. The opposite site of the water 'the Ringvaart' is easily accessible by car) and legal (it is outside of the Haarlemmermeer) Today a lot of spotters were at that spot (just have a look at google maps how to get there from the A9, exit Badhoevedorp). So this could be an alternative.

Just for completeness: spotting as in observing aircraft is allowed anywhere in public places in Haarlemmermeer, it's photography that is not (officially).

Is photography being allowed on the terrace, or is the prohibition being enforced there?

Just took a ride along the "drie merenweg", almost all aircraft could be seen from the road.
Be aware that stopping on the road will be a fine of € 350!

I thought this road would be closed? This is the N-205?

Is there a bus route that goes from Schiphol Centrum up the N205?
