Those of you visiting Sliač Airport at the last weekend in August will have a chance to raise your hands in farewell and wave goodby to the flyover leading aircraft - Tu-154. The aircraft is retiring after long period of service and its last flight is scheduled for 27 August 2017. After the flyover the Tupolev will be heading for its last destination - the Museum of Aviation in Košice.

Any help in the MiG 29 in the maintenance hangar near the entrance and the other Austrian EF.2000 would be helpful. There was an L-39 near the southern end but I only saw the tail near the fence. I have missed out a lot of the puddle jumpers!

By the gate were a MiG-29 (7501 assumed from the colour scheme), a MiG-21 (7801 assumed from previous reports) plus a group of 4 L39’s. 1 camo, 2 grey (1 with sheeting over the cockpit) plus 1 in the red, white & blue scheme. With thanks to Andy Fenton I now know these to be 1730, 4701, 5252 & 5254. 2 more L39's & 5 more MiG-29's were also here but not seen by me.

As I had solid reasons for being home Sunday 27th, I still squeezed Sliac and Radom in one trip, doing Sliac from outside Friday afternoon, which went rather well. No MiGs in the hangar of course …

My notes for the Austrian Eurofighters are different as I read them as 7L-WC and 7L-WD on the flightline, and I would say 7L-WC is 100% sure, 7L-WD is 90% +.

As you also seem to have some question marks I want to add my log as well, only what I read from outside, with question marks when not being sure, but no assumptions). The Polish CN.295 likely wasn’t there yet, difficult not to see that, while the Hungarian JAS.39D may have been hiding behind some stuff standing around. Just being curious: Where was it please?

And about the Croatian PC.9s:
Mark you gave 5 serials, and David you added another 2.
Friday from approx. 5 to 7 p.m. there was a line of 6, seen from different angles South of the base, and I would exclude it was 7 then. Beginner’s mistake after 30 years in biz: I didn’t return here and check them after heat haze was gone, so I have an open question: Was 1 in static, arriving later or moved around to join the other 6, please?

I couldn't see either serial but read AS003 & GS024 from the fins

Polish C295 was nose towards a hangar, left of the Egyptian civil B737. Hungarian JAS39 was nose towards your viewpoint, right end of public area, in front of a double hangar that had MiG 29 3709 in it. Maybe it was obscured by clutter.

My notebook says 054, 064, 055, 052, 069, 057. I read them from behind, so perhaps one is incorrect because last digit partially obscured by tailplane? 052 is stored according to Scamble db. I guess we need a photo!

Many thanks for filling the gaps. As you read only 6 PC.9s I suspect and hope they came without a spair and they are finally clear; I need 054 so far.

For the Austrian I was thinking whether my 7L-WD might be 7L-WO, but 7L-WG ... I don't think so. And WD is GS004, while you read GS024. Could be it. Time will show, I believe.

The JAS.39D is small enough to be missed when nose on, even though I changed my position and looked several time. Next chance in KB in 10 days, maybe ;o)

No problem Martin. I hope the Typhoons & PC9's get sorted in the end.

I added a couple of the stored/displayed aircraft above now too.

Photos online confirm the Typhoons as 7L-WC & 7L-WG. The PC9's are not so easy to find photos of but one in the Airshow's site arrivals gallery show 6 apparently including 054, 055, 057 & 064. I messaged the team via Facebook to ask them for confirmation of the numbers

5 of the PC.9s are on facebook as 054, 055, 056, 064, 069, on several photos. So if only these 5 flew, then the 057 you found was their spare.
