The Endurance moved on, is it possible to see helicopters at Steinweg from the "Maassluissedijk" ?
When you look over the water to Steinweg?

Interestingly, 4th CAB refers to the Chinooks as CH-47G helicopters...

It is a mistype. A lot of times the Public Affairs Officer (or more likely an enlisted soldier working for the PAO) writes the articles or photo headlines and doesn't actually know anything about aviation enough to know the difference.

For those who are curious or who didn't know, there is no such thing as a CH-47G in the US inventory. The only G model is the 160th SOAR MH-47G. The newest CH-47Fs (including the ones 4th CAB is sending over) are Model Year (MY) IIs. The same as what 1st CAV had and what the 12th CAB has here in Germany stationed permanently. Point being, although the MYII is a decent sized off-the-line upgrade over the normal CH-47F, it is still technically just a CH-47F.

Side note for all of you who may have noticed when the 1st CAV Chinooks left, there were two tail numbers missing (08176 and 08178). Well if you all had not figured out where they went yet, they were transferred to 12th CAB and will remain in Germany permanently.
