We have confirmed participation of a variety of rare, authentic military aircraft that flew in Gelderland during WW2. The beautiful Spitfire, P-51 Mustang, the aircraft that won the battle of Britain, the legendary Hurricane, a Boeing B-17 flying fortress, a Messerschmitt Bf 109, a Horsa glider and a C-47. During Market Garden a total of 1,336 C-47s along with 340 Stirlings were employed to tow 1,205 Horsa gliders.

These will be parked in the grass overnight. Last time at least they did.

Friday : some arrivals, and rehearsals in the afternoon

Saturday: official airshow day

For you and our safety visitors are not allowed to bring food, beverages and umbrellas on to the event grounds. This will be thoroughly checked upon entry.

Aanvankelijk waren onze eisen streng en mocht u geen eten, drinken en paraplus meenemen naar het evenemententerrein. Deze strenge regels hebben wij losgelaten. Eigen eten en drinken, paraplus en stoeltjes zijn toegestaan. Trapjes blijven verboden.

By the way, they had some wild ideas on paying as well.
They wanted to introduce a coin system, like at festivals.
They found out, it turned out to be to difficult apparantly.

Wij dachten dat het eenvoudig zou zijn om te werken met een unieke betaalkaart op ons event. Eén betaalkaart voor alles, even opladen en klaar. Toch zitten hier wat haken en ogen aan en dat maakt het voor u als bezoeker onnodig ingewikkeld. We hebben daarom besloten dat alles wat u bij de horecakramen koopt ‘gewoon kunt pinnen’. Neemt u voor de zekerheid nog wel wat cash mee… het kan namelijk zijn dat de aanbieders van de marktkramen alleen cash aannemen. Dat is nu nog niet bekend.

Will the big airplane (like B17, C47) for this airshow land on the temporary airfield at Ede or will they fly from a other airfield? And will they all arrive on friday or saturday?

last edition a lot came in on Friday afternoon. I expect the B-17 to fly from the UK and the C-47 either Teuge or local, albeit that the grass runway is not that long.
