Fly Be Embrear at Stuttgart

Post by SPL »

From http://www.telegraaf.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; site:

In English: aircraft didn't stop on time, missed a turn and ended up at the end of the runway.

Close call are overreacted?

Seems to me they overreacted indeed. Don't know the situation, but it looks like it came in for landing, slowed down and tried to make the turn towards the exit but slipped away. Happened at SPL with a KLM 737 last year or the year before as well. Technically you can maybe call it a near-crash, but as always they present it in a way you are tempted to think the people on board were face to face with the grim reaper himself. (OK, I have to admit that they say no-one got hurt, but still)

Welterusten,
Ard

You mean the PH-BXP at the polderbaan during a heavy rainshower?

Don't know if it was the BXP, but I probably do. The 737 tried to roll out to vacate 18R at V3, but missed the exit and slipped away while making the turn towards V4.

Thumbs up for the Telegraaf.
