Re: Your best photos of 2009 (Top Five!)
Is this topic really necessary Be critical at yourself and choose only 1 best picture and post it in the other topic. IMHO only NustyRs serie is worth a top 5...

Re: Your best photos of 2009 (Top Five!)
Well IMHO NustyRs serie needs a top 200;)... But anyway this is a better topic for those WHO can't choose from their 100+GB's of 2009 ...Kleintje Pils wrote: Is this topic really necessary Be critical at yourself and choose only 1 best picture and post it in the other topic. Re: Your best photos of 2009 (Top Five!)
Just skip it if you do not like it. IMHO there are far more people that produce great shots than just NustyR.Kleintje Pils wrote: Is this topic really necessary Be critical at yourself and choose only 1 best picture and post it in the other topic. IMHO only NustyRs serie is worth a top 5...

Re: Your best photos of 2009 (Top Five!)
Although I think this is a completely unnecessary topic, I'll still make use of the opportunity to choose five first, and then narrow it down to one in the other topic. So, in no particular order:
Oshkosh 31-7-09
Oshkosh 31-7-09
LAX 10-8-09
Paris-Orly 14-6-09
Kleine Brogel 18-9-09
Marcel

Re: Your best photos of 2009 (Top Five!)
Number One
For me this must be number one; no doubt about it. I have waited
a few years for this moment. The snow and the extraordinary
light conditions made it one of my most special shots ever.
This picture was taken at Gilze-Rijen on January 9th 2009 at
08.30LT during sun rise. And of course the Apache helicopter
is my favourite subject of photography.
Number Two
Photo opportunities were poor during the arrivals of the open house
of Volkel. I remember everybody cursing the helicopters when they
were parked in front of us. This Bolkow did it perfectly, it flew over
the grass at just one meter of height. The grass which was blown away
by its rotors and beautiful lighting makes this picture definitely my
number two.
Number Three
This Harrier came in at RAF Cottesmore during my first day of my UK
tour 2009,. The aircraft was almost hovering in the air before it entered the
runway; it flew with a very low altitude over us. The weather was great
that day what constituted in an excellent exposure. Also the beautiful angle
on this aircraft makes it my number three in 2009.
Number Four
Photographing the GLV-V in Oirschot was my biggest discovery close to
my home in 2009. Each day the defence helicopters practice low flying and
landing in difficult terrain. Patience shall be paid generously with some great
action shots. This Cougar landed right in front of me in the sand of the Oirschotse
Heide. The blowing sand is always a spectacular sight on these kind of pictures.
Therefore this picture ends at number four.
Number Five
Who can remember me sitting under my umbrella at Saint-Dizier in France?
It rained a lot during this base visit at the biggest French Rafale field. It brought
us many different pictures than expected. This Rafale which came in during heavy
rainfall is leading for how this day went. The picture is absolutely different than the
rest but not more worse because of the conditions. Because of this it earned a
fifth place in my list.
