Replacement of Royal Netherlands Air Force G-IV Gulfstream delayed
A new due date has been set for the replacement of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) Gulfstream 4 (G-IV).
For those who would still like to take some photos of the Dutch military VIP-jet, you will be able to do so until Q4-2022.
Although the G-IV was originally planned to be replaced with a second-hand Gulfstream 650 (G650) in 2021, this has now been postponed with one year. The postponement will buy extra time for looking for a suitable aircraft and the time needed for the necessary military upgrades of this aircraft. One of the given requirements was that the G650 may not be older than building year 2012 and less than 2,500 hours at the time of handing over to the KLu. It is not known if this requirement has been changed to 2013.
