1South side aproach runway 36

From BR-116 take the exit onto Rua Fagundes Varela, northbound. Make a right on Claudió Chatagnier, some others will do also. This will bring you to the road along the southern threshold, Rua Paulo Ildefonso Assumpção. The threshold is higher than the road, so awkward for photography.

2Northern approach runway 18

For the northern approach you can go either clockwise or counter-clockwise around the airport. Clockwise, you will follow Ildefonso Assumpção and make a right onto Rua Lange de Morretes just after the perimeter fence ends. Just after the bend to the left go right into Rua Valparaízo. This will also bend sharply to the left and then you will have to go right again. You are now on Rua México. Follow this until you get to a main road where you can go right, this is Avenida Pref. Erasto Gaertner. You will pass the gate with a preserved Meteor and about six blocks further you reach the approach of runway 18. Find a spot in one of the parking lots on the north side of the road, for example at the Italian restaurant. You will have a hard time avoiding the street lights and buildings, the window of opportunity is fairly short.

Counter-clockwise, head back to BR-116 and go north east and exit onto Francisco M. Albizu. Follow this north west bound all the way till you reach Erasto Gaertner. Make a left. You now pass the entrance to the general aviation part of the airfield and two blocks down the road will be the approach of runway 18.
