Cambrai - Epinoy (BA103) - CLOSED

1Epinoy

Follow the N43 to Epinoy and take the D21E to Sauchy Estree. In Epinoy, there is a small road from the south of the village towards the airbase from where the runway can be seen. With a good scope, aircraft on the ramps can be read off. Make sure that you are out of sight of the control-tower.

2Western approach

When you follow the D21E from Epinoy to Sauchy Estree you'll pass the Western approach. From here pictures can be taken with 200 mm. Aircraft on the most western ramps may be read off.

3Eastern approach

The N43 from Cambrai to Epinoy passes the Eastern approach. Don't park your car along the N43 because as it is not appreciated by locals nor the police. Instead, look for the very small parallel road running from Sancourt to the north and follow the signs to the WW1 memorial. You can park your car at the memorial.
From here pictures can be taken with 200 mm (you are standing a little bit higher than the road here). Aircraft on the most eastern ramps can be read off.

4Haynecourt

When you take the D340 from the N43 to Haynecourt, you will cross the Rue d'Oisy. Take this one to the right and you will have a view of the eastern taxiways. Not the best spot for photography but you might be able to read off some extra serials.
