Located in the department of Haute-Saône, Base Aèrienne 116 nowadays has one squadron with the Mirage 2000 left as operational unit. As the air base is not located close to a highway, you will have to travel via the Route National to get to the spots. Be aware that the Gendarmerie is known to forbid photography here.
The Base Aérienne has two runways. It has a east-west located runway and a north-south located runway. Taxiways are to the north-west of the runways. There is a apron to the north and a shelter area to the south-west.
You will have to drive to Luxeuil-les-Bains to reach the airport. This can be done via the A31
