1West side approach runway 07
The west side approach can be reached by taking a path towards the fence as the D955 bends back east again. You are very out in the open here, though.
2West side tail spotting
The same path leads to the fence. Leave the car and walk along the fence line. The tails of the Transalls and some Hercs are visible above the earthen walls. Luckily, the serials are on the fin tip. The purists might want to go a bit further north on the D955 and look back to see more than just some tails...
3South side tail spotting
Due to the parking positions and walls, you will probably not be able to read off all the serials from spot 2. Go back toward Orléans on the D955. At the roundabout in Les Barres, go left to Boulay les Barres. Before you reach the gate, make a left into the path along the fence. You will be able to make a couple of tails here, but you will also attract lots of attention!
4East side stop-and-go
From Boulay les Barres, go north towards Bricy. Just before the last house in the village of Boulay, look to your left. Depending on the parking positions, you will be able to spot one or two aircraft parked between the hangars. It is a busy road.
5East side approach runway 25
After passing the railway track, the road towards Bricy makes a shallow right turn. Try to park the car there because the approaching aircraft pass nicely in front of you here.
6East side approach runway 25, more east
The alternative to the parking spot along the busy road can be found by heading into Bricy and take the first right, Rue du Chateau. After the last houses, where the farmland begins, make a right. The path gets worse just as you are straight under the approach. You might have to walk a bit further down. The aircraft will be rather high here, since the runway threshold is still over a kilometre away.
