Issy Les Moulineaux is a small heliport in the centre of the city of Paris, only one mile away from the Eiffel Tower. It is known as Héliport de Paris and is mainly used by commercial helicopter flights. It is also home to one of the many detachments of the Sécurité Civile. Nearby Issy Les Moulineaux is the headquarters of the French Air Force. The two aircraft that were preserved there have been removed in 2014 due to extensive construction works.
As this is a city heliport, a lot of buildings surround it. The hangars are all on the north and northwest side, along Rue Henry Farman.
By car
The easiest way to get to Issy Les Moulineaux by car is to follow the E05 Boulevard Périphérique, the orbital road of Paris. When coming from the West, take the first exit after you have passed the river Seine. At the T-junction, go left into Quai d'Issy Les Moulineaux. Then again take the first left into the Rue Bara. This road will lead you to the Rue Henry Farman. You will see the heliport in front of you.
By train
When travelling by train, get out at railway station Issy Val de Seine. When exiting the railway station, go left into the Rue Camille Desmoulins. When following this road it will become the Rue Henry Farman. The heliport will be on your right.
By metro
If you get out at metro station Balard, you arrive at the Avenue de la Porte Sèvres. When walking south, The French Air Force HQ is on your left and the heliport will be on your right, after 200 meters.
From spot 2 you have a good overview of the heliport and you will see every flight arrive or depart. (Melchior Timmers)
