1West side ramp view

From highway 7, make a right after it meets the railway. Head northeast and then sharply to the south. This road runs towards the perimeter fence and bends around it to the prison. From here you should be able to see the Kiran ramp although this has not been tried yet.

2West side approach runway 09

Spot 1 is not suitable for a relaxed stay. So, it is probably best to find a spot along the railroad. From NH7, take the sand path running parallel and to the east of the railroad. Alternatively, a spot between the railroad and NH7 should also work fine. You will be rather obvious and bound to attract attention here.

3East side approach 27

In theory, it is possible to work your way around the airfield clockwise. But it is far easier to head back on highway 7 and take the road to Bolarum. This is the first through road south of the airfield. You will have to cross the railroad in the village near Bolarum station and follow that road eastwards out of town. You will then reach the main road to Siddipet and the Shamirpet Lake resort. This is also called Karimnagar or Rajiv Ghandi highway. Make a left northbound. The road passes the threshold of runway 27. Before you reach the threshold, go right on a sand path eastward into the farmland. This is by far the best spot for photography and spotting, even the Alouettes make lots of circuits.

4North east side view

Just after passing the threshold, there is an asphalt road left along the fence. From there you can watch the helicopters do their circuits. You can also view the approaching Kirans albeit with back light. You are in full view but will be able to read off departing aircraft which is not possible from spot 3. This road leads to a village with a myriad of bad and small roads. No use going there.
