1East side approach runway 27

The east side offers little opportunity. A busy road runs from north to south along the threshold and to the east of that some industrial estates and residential areas either block your view or present problems for staying long. The road leading east directly south of the threshold leads past a preserved Hunter, before that make a left and go north a bit. On the west side of this road, you may be able to stay a bit longer because more cars are parked there.

2Terminal

The circumstances in the terminal are unknown. The military apron is to the northwest of the terminal and there are four gates with walkways.

3West side approach runway 09

The west side offers some more opportunities. A small river runs past the threshold as well as a railroad. An unpaved road runs between the perimeter fence and the railroad. Just south of the railway crossing seems to be a reasonable spot.

4West side ramp view

There is a piece of barren land on the northwest corner. On that patch of land there are some pipelines crossing a small stream. These can be scaled because they double as a foot bridge. This is northeast of Fatehnagar MMTS station. From here, you are high enough to look over the perimeter wall onto the military ramp and read off the aircraft present. The smell is awful though...

5North side ramp and runway view

Taking the road along the northwest side you drive along the wall past the military gate and continue along the wall. This will bring you to the centre of the runway. Along this wall there are some piles of rubbish and stones that can help you peep over the wall and have a great view of the civil proceedings. Best spot is the corner of this road, were it bends north. Depending on the height of the piles of dirt, you will probably just lack enough of it for photography. The military side is obscured from view by various buildings and is at a wrong angle; basically to the right of you behind buildings and bushes when you look onto the airfield.
