General

Fetesti (Cocargeaua) is one of the last MiG-21 bases in Europe. It is home to two squadrons upgraded MiG-21's, locally known als Lancers.

Getting There

Fetesti (Cocargeaua) is located a few kilometers to the West of Fetesti, to the south of Road number 3.

Around the Airport

1Main gate

From road number 3, just after passing the runway on your left, take a left. This roads leads to the maingate were the preserved aircraft can be seen.

2Southern approach

Just before you reach the maingate (see spot 1), take the dirttrack to the right. Follow this track and it will lead you to the southern approach. From here, the flightline can seen and, with good conditions, aicraft can be read.

3Overview

Just before you reach the Northern approach from road 3 (coming from the East), take a dirt-track to the left. This leads to an old dispersal and gives a reasonable overview of the airfield
