This Spanish Armed Forces helicopter base is home to a unit of AS332s and AS532s. Not a place to be hanging around all day but an interesting one to visit while transferring from one airport to another. Reading numbers and photography is OK, albeit from one location only.
The layout of the base is pretty easy. All buildings are located near the river (Guadalqivir). The platform, and three hangars, are on the eastern side of the base.
The base is located in the southern part of the city of Sevilla, near to the harbor. To get there, starting from the city itself you have to head for the south. You leave the orbital road from Sevilla (Ronda de Circunvalación, SE-30) at exit nr 9. From there take Av de la Raza (just north of the orbital, heading north) and exit this road to the right at the first roundabout. This road is called Carretera El Copero and leads to the gate of the base after about 2 kilometres.
