The Spanish Air Force has ordered 73 Typhoons, of which the first ones were delivered at Ala 11 at Morón. They are also based at Ala 14 at Albacete and plans exist to order Tranche 3+ and Tranche 4 Eurofighters to replace its F-18 Hornets

In november 2021, the Spanish Air Force received the first out of three Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The assets will be operated by the “45 Grupo de Fuerzas Aéreas” stationed in Torrejón airbase near Madrid.

The PC-21 has arrived to San Javier to replace both the C101 Aviojet as well as the T-35 Pilán.

The Spanish AF bought five P-3B from Norway in 1989 and it was planned to upgrade all five to M standard, however, due to budgetary constraints only four were upgraded, the remaining aircraft being used as spares source. On 16 December 2022 the type was withdrawn from use and will be replaced by C295MPA in the future.
