131 approach

The approach of runway 31 is found be travelling the N-V road. Coming from the town of Talavera you will see the runway approach lighting just before the concrete wall of the base itself starts. You can position yourself to your liking. This spot is OK for both photography and reading serials. You are out in the open though!

2Civil terminal

The civil terminal is a fairly relaxed spot. From here you can view the activities at the military flight line and read all aircraft that fly. Depending on the weather conditions (low temperature and cloudy conditions required) you can sometimes read some of the military aircraft on the flightline. This position is no good for photography though! The civil terminal is clearly sign posted (along with the town of Balboa) either if you are coming from Badajoz or Talavera.

313 approach

The treshold of runway 13 is relatively close to the road leading to and from the civil airport. From here you can also read and photograph the aircraft when runway 13 is in use. Again (like with runway 31) you are out in the open!
