1North west gate

Along a sand track that connects the highway 5 off-ramp to the airport entry road, you will find a MiG-17 guarding the military gate.

2North east taxiway

Take the road east from the terminal. There are several tracks to farms and one of these runs quite near the fence. It offers great views of the northern taxiway, although backlit. You will be in full view and on private property too...

3East side approach - near

A bit further to the east a road runs past the threshold towards a rail road complex. This street offers great views of the runway 27 approach. Again, you are in full view but at least you can stay in your car here.

4East side approach - distant

Alternatively, you can take the next exit from the eastbound road. Navigate your way through the village and head south on a track. You will be driving towards another part of the same rail road complex. From the soccer field you have a more distant view of the 27 approach.

5West side approach and helo ramp view

The road along the western perimeter is quite busy. Park your car a little bit more north, nearer to the highway exit. The aircraft will be straight overhead unless you leave your car and walk south a bit. You can also see the nearby helicopter ramp.

If you take this perimeter road north bound, towards spot 1 again, you will encounter a preserved and unmarked Il-28 inside the fence and you will also have a different angle on the couple of helicopters that are usually parked in front of the hangar.

6Main ramp view from highway

The exit can only be used while driving northbound to Aleppo. Just before the exit ramp, you will have a great overview of the north western part of the airport. You will have to stop by the highway side though, but that is not uncommon in Syria ;-)
