NOLF Coupeville was commissioned for use by the US Navy in 1943. It currently supports day and night Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) operations by the US Navy's EA-18G Growler. Prior to the EA-18G being the only tailhook aircraft stationed at NAS Whidbey, the EA-6B Prowler, A-6 Intruder and the A-3 Skywarrior were also supported for carrier landing practice out of the OLF. Coupeville NOLF is attended 0800LT-0000LT during weekdays, activated by the published Field Carrier Landing Practice Schedule and/or NOTAM. Stay behind the concrete blocks at all times.
This small airport has one runway 14/32 and one taxiway on the east side.
From Whidbey Island NAS, it is a half hour drive to Coupeville NOLF.Take Route 20 to the south towards Coupeville. After passing the city of Coupeville, you make a right turn and will see the airport at your right.
