The eyebrow windows were originally installed for navigation aid, to navigate with the stars etc. But since GPS bacame more reliable and main navigation method the eyebrow windows were obselete. In fact, on all new 737 NG aircraft the eye brow windows are not even installed anymore, if you look care...

Ik had afgelopen mei met Ryanair geen problemen met mijn Phototrekker, en die was toch wel zo'n 15 kg met camera en laptop.. wel begon er iemand erover te zeuren toen we door de paspoort controle heen gingen, maar die best emn uitgelgd dat deze tas gewoon past en het was geen probleem.

the third smaller contrail is clearly a running APU in the tail of the a/c, probably one of the generators was unserviceable an thus they use the apu as source for a second generator..

and nustyR, there's no such thing as chem trails.....

It sure was, although very bumpy due to the low level with a big a/c, I also managed to get some great pics of the F16's low over Britain.
It was surely a once in a lifetime expierence, I don't think many spotters can say they participated in an airshow. :wink:
