Had some time left in the afternoon, heard all the visitors had left the theater, but missed the Eagles in the list........ crossed my fingers and took a 1 hour drive up north, saw some locals flying at then at 4PM...... 2 USAF Eagles took off, when is the rest leaving? 84-0044 http://farm3.static.f...
Weather sucked today, very little good light, no foreign airplanes, hug amount local Vipers....... Cabin pressure fail with the J-516, plane landed, was checked and left to the shelter area http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/4538225601_720bfd13f2_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4538872660...
Depending on wich side you are you should be able to take some decent landing shots with 200 mm. Taxi shots are a little harder maybe with 200 mm with planes on the other side of the runway...
Great pictures and great day it was, must agree, light could be better, to answer geert, I took some today onbase also, use an 70-300 lens, and most shots around 120 and 150 mm
Spend some hours at Spangdahlem and caught some birds...... here are some results. Strange day it was, A-10 came back with an engine failure and American MP checked out my photos after she started to talk in German to us  http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2728/4406644671_be41ebb0d8_b.jpg http:...
