Re: A-10 30mm war in the Desert (Hawgsmoke 2016)

Hi Dino, Great shots, needless to thay that :) The A10 is definitely my favorite, I am thinking about visiting Hawgsmoke for years. This year would have been great as I really like Tucson, been there twice, once when working for the Pima Air and Space Museum, but I had other plans. These are she sho...

Re: 50D of 7D with 400mm f5.6 prime?

Dude these pictures are sharp. I specially like the close ups and bad weather pics. I do see that most pictures have been made with nice and sunny weather, and shooting airliners is not the same as a F18 pulling G's, and then have to crop 90% of the picture to fill the frame. Do you have pics of fig...

Re: Tips for Ukraine, anybody

Back from Ukraine, we changed the travelplans a little bit and I've been able to visit the Ukraine State Aviation Museum. It realy, really, reallyreally was worth it. The collection is great and the planes are in excellent condition. Also there is some information in English, something quite rare fo...

Re: Tips for Ukraine, anybody

You already know about this one, do you? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine_State_Aviation_Museum  Yes, it would have been a good idea to mention this in the first place! Unfortunately the museum is open only a few days a week, and off course not when I will be around Kiev... Still I have s...

Re: Nikon 300mm f2.8: advice needed

Thanks Leeuwarden,

Or should I say Evil Bender? Do you have the possibility to e-mail me some full size/not preprocessed pics? This would be highly appreciated. Even though I really really love primes I am also considering a 70-200 VR in the future as I also shoot some motorsports...

Thanks,

RIAT 2011. Again.

Hi there, A bit late but I had a lot of pics to go through... Despite the bad weather I had a great time at RIAT again, the display could have been better but there still is nothing like it. No discussion about this please :) This year I brought a Nikon 300mm f4 and 1.7x TC which did my pics no good...

Re: Nikon 300mm f2.8: advice needed

Hello there, Thank you all for these very usefull information. As everybody who uses this lens I am very happy with it; I still cannot believe how sharp it is, even with the 1.7 wide open. I have made pictures with this combo where while zooming in the pixels became visible before the picture became...

Nikon 300mm f2.8: advice needed

Hi guys, I attended 4 shows this year (Cambrai, Koksijde, RIAT and Spangdahlem) and every time the weather was ==censored==. At the moment I shoot with a Nikon 300mm f4 with a 1.7x TC which is not only a slow combination, but it looks like the autofocus is not as precise in bad weather. For this rea...

Re: NIKON 300mm AFS f/4 D IF ED

Hi there, I also have this lens, with a Nikon 1.7x TC. All my pics on this thread have been shot with this combo. http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=74009&start=150 I use it without TC for helicopters, large planes and WW2 stuff, it gives real stunning results. I also get great sh...
