Magic 62: AWACS flying in the Dutch airspace this morning. Players are Archer: F16's from Leeuwarden NL (EHLW).

Heard so far:
360.8750 MHz (CRC Nieuw Milligen NL, ICF)
261.0000 MHz (CAOC2 Kalkar, Germany)
269.1000 MHz (AWACS ACI)
UBC760XLT;UBC780XLT;UBC3500XLT;UBC9000XLT;SANGEAN/ATS-909X

He is calling Limelight (CAOC2 Kalkar, Germany) and mentions "alligator". When AWACS are flying they often mention this. I think it's the name of a certain track they are working in, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe someone else knows the exact meaning of Alligator (besides that it is a predator :lol: ).

ALLIGATOR = the name for Link 11.
TIMBER = the name for Link 16

And Link 11 and 16 are some kind of area ? Magic said ,,Alligator is ground area,,.
Where is the Awacs flying. The receiving is so loud and clear, I was looking outside iff it is in my backyard :lol: .

Takes too much time to explain Link11 and 16, better do a google search, then you'll find out it has nothing to do with areas!
Areas where the Pizza boys fly are mostly NL1 or NL2, roughly between Volkel and Apeldoorn.

Found it at Google. Thanks.
So I think in this action Alligator is the ground-station.
I live in Alphen aan den Rijn and with my home-made QFH antenna at 2,5 meter
the receiving was very loud and clear.

What's so difficult? Link 11 and it's follow up Link 16 are both datacom systems, used by the militairy 8) .
