Good statement from the 3 European leaders. And a dangerous situation could occur if an Russian attack against them would happen while staying in Kiev. Article 5?

Personally I would prefer to have a non political forum......
Because in all recent "discussions" the real discussion is far away..... :!: :|

Indeed weird. The location NE is strange. NW would bring them closer to China, which could mean they have been there to pick up supplies. Although that could have been done more easily by train. Sailing all the way to Ukraine seems unlikely as the Turks have promised to keep their waters closed for (Russian) warships.

Ever been wondering about what happened to the Russian push for that other nuclear power plant in the south of Ukraine? Well, it met a small Ukrainian village...

Another example of how the Russians have been defeated by simple tech (villagers direction artilery by mobile phone) and ressiliance.

About one week into the war I already posted a link about the Russian military supply organization and why that might be such a problem in Ukraine. Here is the application of that. A Twitter thread about the 65km long convoy stuck near Kyiv. Already got stuck there on day 2. Still stuck now. It explains (with calculations) how important this is, why the Ukrainians haven't put too much effort into destroying it and that it might very well mean the end of the war for Putin.

It seems there have been joint Russian-Chinese naval exercises in February and these ships are returning from that exercise. My guess is that these ships have little to do with the war in Ukraine. Maybe just a bit of provocation to Japan in response to their support for the sanctions. The press constantly mentions that these ships are troop carriers and landing ships. But if you look at the size of the ships shown in the pictures (they carry 10-15 trucks on their deck) their possible impact on the war in Ukraine seems insignificant.

Wat valt daar nou aan te durven? :/

...perhaps it is time to start/split off a separate topic
called
"non-aviation news on invasion of Ukraine"
or something like that.

I do like Erwin's and hammarö''s
plus indeed Wildpicture
and Coati's updates, very useful. :thumb:

Am not so much interested in "political views"...

A "politics and thoughts"-topic would cater
for those who really would want to vent their own political/personal views... :|

...rather wise words, actually.... :!:
