Those are all sold....
Very little chance that you will see them outside the US in the future, since the contract includes the condition that they may only be sold to Draken when not used outside the US.patrick dirksen wrote: ↑14 Sep 2022, 20:29 Sold to Draken, to be exact. So in principle they will stay in the US indeed, althoug you never know where they might go if a foreign contract is won by Draken.
Ah, I didn't read that anywhere, nice additional information. And indeed then chances are really slim....Bunzing wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 15:36Very little chance that you will see them outside the US in the future, since the contract includes the condition that they may only be sold to Draken when not used outside the US.patrick dirksen wrote: ↑14 Sep 2022, 20:29 Sold to Draken, to be exact. Your question is a bit unclear. If you mean: have the F-16s that are sold to Draken already been wfu by the RNLAF, then the answer is yes. The contingent at Tucson AFB has been disbanded, if I am right they are currently busy packing up their things and deciding which bits to take home and which to leave in the USA. Their last mission was flown already some time ago.Pauljos2001 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 16:54 Have the "old to Draken F-16's" left the RNLAF inventory already ?!?
J-509 is wfu since 15-08-2022JPS wrote: ↑01 Oct 2022, 17:32 Again many thanks for the updates.

In the mean time it has been decided J-509 will get a few more hours. The last flight will be anywhere soon.
