Malaysia Isn't Serious About Finding MH370

Ocean Infinity, the UK-based global underwater search company, has three of its revolutionary high-tech vessels waiting near Malaysia to search for MH370.
Armada 78 04 and 06 are moored in the port of Singapore.
All three ships are fitted out for underwater search.
Ocean Infinity has presented the Malaysian Government with a “no find no fee” offer
to look for MH370, which disappeared on March 8, 2014, with 239 aboard,
in a new location based on the breakthrough WSPR work from Richard Godfrey.
The Malaysian Government is currently debating the offer with the cost estimated to be around $70 million if MH370 is found.

A program called the Finding MH370 Project has been launched to do exactly what its name suggests:
find the remains of the Boeing 777 aircraft that vanished in March 2014.
To do this, the project won’t turn to sonar-equipped drones or thorough searches of the seafloor.
Instead, the team plans to release Boeing 777 parts into the Indian Ocean and track their movements.
All or nothing. This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Thu, October 31 2024 10:16 AM CET.
This project will resolve the issue by obtaining a real 777 flaperon,
cutting it down to match the damaged flaperon recovered on Réunion Island,
outfitting with sensors and telemetry,
and then releasing it near the presumed crash site of MH370 on the 11th anniversary of the disappearance.
Cameras will monitor the growth of barnacles on the surface,
and a radio transmitter will relay its location and the temperature of the water.
After 15 months, the flaperon will be recovered and the barnacle population examined.

According to the Straits Times Malaysia is set to restart the search for MH370
citing a “credible” proposal that suggests a new search area in the southern Indian Ocean.
Straits Times said that Malaysia’s Transport Minister Anthony Loke
confirmed on Nov 5 that Kuala Lumpur
is currently in negotiations with Ocean Infinity
regarding a proposal the company made in June 2024
to resume the undersea search for the MH370 wreckage
in a 15,000 sq km area off the coast of Western Australia.
“The search will take place between November 2024 and March 2025.
The search is on a ‘no find, no fee’ basis as expected.
In the event that MH370 is found, then a fee of $70M is payable.
“We are expecting further details shortly.”
