Now even the concrete tubes/pipes ("betonbuizen") have been shoved aside so large lorries/trucks have no problem using the Oude Meerweg.Stratofreighter wrote:Today I made a quick visit to the "Spottersplek" along the Kaagbaan runway 06-24.
It is possible again to drive your car from the N201 "mayor road" along the Aalsmeerderweg (and Kaagbaan 06-24 runway) via the Oude Meerweg and the S-apron to Truckland without having to use the "new road" which is "heavy haulage only".
Except for the KMar ?? Last friday they passed me there in opposite (wrong) direction. It wasn't an emergency ride, no blue flashlights and/or sirens, so illegal ! Give 'em a uniform and a striped car and they think they can trespass every traffic rule......Of course it is still "one-way traffic only"!
This also means that the "Spottersplek" can still be reached by car.
Exit "Hoofddorp" on the A4 motorway Leiden towards Amsterdam is temporarily closed though, so some non-locals may still have problems reaching the Spottersplek.
A spokeswoman of Amsterdam Airport has stated that the latter is the case. So it is only a "stay of execution"...richarduk wrote:Sorry for my poor understanding of Dutch, but is the 06-24 spotters place staying open for good, or is it just being closed later than originally thought?
Cheers,

There is a cemetary a walking distance away just over the bridge. I suggest you park there. Don't think the deceased will complain quite as much as the NIMBYs.patric wrote:And where do they let us park our car then ???ivo de groot wrote:schiphol wants to make holes in the fences at taxiway 36L/18R,
